A truly beautiful movie in every sense of the word.
I love how it conveys the idea of finding your true potential and being more than what others say you should be within animals AND technology. Also love the emphasis on kindness as a tool and a catalyst for evolution.
Doesn't reach the same high as the first, but still amazing regardless.
I love the higher stakes, the focus on Gwen, the soundtrack, everything.
This movie had me on the edge of my seat for most of it's run and it was amazing. It's a fun ride all the way.
I love character-driven stories like these that follow multiple POVs and thought the drama and storytelling were pretty good. The best thing is the atmosphere and pacing; It knows when to go from serene to frightening in a smooth way.
Fuck Kamen!
There's many stories about rogue AI or robot up-rising, but in Pluto robots only go 'rogue' because they're created to emulate humanity as much as possible. Including our propensity for violence and selfishness. So we must inspire change and overcome our hatred to survive.
I think that's a beautiful message.
A really fun and well animated movie with great characters a fun villain and a poignant message.
I feel like a lot of similar movies from this franchise tries a bit too hard, and this shows that sometimes simplicity and the straightforward approach can take you far.
Not a fan of capestuff in general, but Invincible is great because it's not a forever-running franchise with multiple past & future iterations with different writers through-out.
Who knew that having a consistent story with a consistent writer would make for an enjoyable experience worth investing time in?
Every character is great and memorable, the humor is fantastic, and the art style is just gorgeous!! Please read the manga instead tho!
It's like Nene is a shoujo protagonist trapped in a supernatural anime. The back-and-forth between rom-com and spooky thriller is what really makes it special.
Beautiful animation and the amount right of kindness and Christmas cheer for a sentimental sap like me.
The definitive Lupin the Third experience and what I would recommend to anybody wanting to get into the franchise. Also one of the few times Japan could pull off CG animation.
I remember /co/ worshiping this show and thought it was another MLP/Bluey situation. Nah, it's actually the best adventure cartoon of all time.
Just watch the first 2 seasons and the Mountain King movie.
Probably my fave action cartoon since Sym-bionic Titan and funny as hell too. The turtles and Splinter are written perfectly and the humor is amazing no matter which is on screen I'm always guaranteed a great time.
Nick cancelling this show is yet another of their many sins.
A movie with a clever narrative that made me really appreciate CG and how it could push animation. Perfectly written, perfectly animated, to me this is a truly perfect film.
Honestly just a cool Koike-verse film.
I'm sorry but Samurai vs Paul Bunyan just goes hard.
The first two seasons specifically are the kind of stories I love the most: wacky character-driven comedies with some heart and serious moments.
It's REALLY fun just to see how they react in multiple scenarios and bounce off each other.
The only good harem anime
For me, this wasn't an anime but a life changing experience. It tows the line between goofy and profound, and the soundtrack is great.
It's very experimental with different directors per episode that gives it a 'more about the journey than the destination' vibe that I really enjoy.
I actually watched it when it dropped and was hooked immediately. It was very different from what you saw on TV and it still kinda is. The slow pace, atmosphere and old folktale-ness makes it very comfy to watch in the fall.
My first Koike-verse movie and a great Jigen showdown
This is my personal fave from my GOAT Craig McCracken.
The art-style is fluid and magnificent. The characters are phenomenal and not a single one is put to waste. So much love was put into this and it shows.
This right here is why I love cartoons.
Nothing I can really say about this show that others haven't.
It kinda ruined an entire generation of Disney cartoons/Animation fans and I lowkey hate Alex Hirsch, but hey it's good.
The best shounen ever and a literal masterpiece.
The most ambitious action cartoon ever. Perfect care and detail towards characters, writing, and animation. Perfect balance between comedy, drama, and action.
We peaked here and nothing has topped it since.
A cool and creepy movie that is near and dear to my heart.
The stop-motion holds up pretty well and I found it relatable as someone who had to move around a lot.
JUST READ THE MANGA!!
I love doomed tragic characters and enjoy following Ciel to damnation. The mystery elements kinda wavers here and there, but is still good enough to keep me invested.
I feel like people either loved or hated this show. It's formulaic, but they built on-top of that formula really well. I thought it was pretty funny back then too.
This was my childhood GOAT and the funniest thing ever to me. Wacky/goofy/absurd all that with great art direction and great characters.
This is the anime that would shape and define me for the rest of my life. This is the anime that awoke the fujo inside of me. It's a great rom-com and exploration of shoujo tropes but very un-serious about it too.
A masterpiece that has been glazed to death more eloquently than I ever could.
Such a shame everything else in the franchise is meh or garbage. Yes even Korra.
A great look at black culture within America and some of the politics. It's very different from the silly/unimportant shows I prefer, but it really resonated with me and my feelings towards my identity.
Don't agree with everything and the comics were better in some aspects.
A solid, but fun look at a man going through a mid-life crisis. It's a very honest depiction despite the super-powers and spandex.
Very faux-anime like many action shows of its era, but with great writing UNLIKE action shows of its era.
The execution doesn't have a lot of depth, but the plot itself centers around a lot of surprisingly mature topics.
The best written show I have ever seen. There's never a boring moment and every character shines beautifully.
It has evolved over the years and it's hard to describe it accurately, just that it's beyond a simple parody or comedy.
A simple childhood classic that probably informed my taste in shows. I love shows that take a simple premise and take it to wild directions. I also love goofy slapstick with surreal comedy.
A severally underrated, beautifully animated, wholesome movie about a robot learning to feel and be good.
A movie that ages like wine in our current Internet Era. I enjoy it as an experience and it's a masterfully done thriller and mind-fuck.
The soundtrack and grandiosity make it a classic in my eyes. Everything just has this weight to it that makes it feel cinematic and it was the first movie to invoke this feeling.
I like the irreverence and the cynicism of Duckman, and how it also tries to be genuine and impactful despite that.
Beneath the crass-ness, and slapstick is a story about a man hurting and still getting up to face the day. But not in a self-pitying way either.
Best Disney princess movie sorry...
Gets over-shadowed by Cagliostro for good reasons, but I just personally like when Lupin is a bit of a dick tbh.
The version of Lupin I fell in love with. A fun, campy cat & mouse chase across the world with a cast of delightful thieves.
