Today is the seventeenth International Transgender Day of Visibility, and also Buy a Trans Woman a Pizza Day. To all of my trans sisters, brothers, and siblings, I hope all of your stealth checks today are rolled with advantage, or better yet postponed until a later date. That -10 to the ability is killer.

More seriously, life in much of the world is increasingly dangerous for trans people. There are attempts to legislate us out of existence building in the UK, where it is now illegal to prescribe any gender affirming treatment to trans children, and a review into adult transgender healthcare is forthcoming. A recent judgement by the supreme court is being used to ban trans women from women's spaces. Every single day there are articles and think-pieces about the "transgender issue" in the newspapers, manufacturing consent for our destruction.

So today, I am reminding the world that I exist. That I have as much right to peace and contentment as the rest of humanity. That I won't hide myself away or return into the closet, simply because a vocal minority has decided that they hate people like me. That I am who I say I am.

Today, like every other day; I am visible.

Literally me, being visible.

I have documented a little of my coming out story, which you can read here. I'm actively drafting the third part, so that should hopefully be coming soon!
