I take my holidays seriously. This year I drew up a list of sixteen towns in the north of England, which I have been meaning to visit and asked friends to tell me of any truly scenic routes they knew between them. Putting it all together, I got the map shown here.

I decided to use only the scenic routes and to visit each town just once. (It meant missing out some routes but at least I saw all the towns). I set off on foot on mid-summer’s day (not from P) and finished west of my starting point.

Can you prove that I went by ship to Cumberland?
