And we know that, in the comics, she started using her lasso to change from Diana Prince to Wonder Woman in the 1970s — 1974’s Wonder Woman #212, by Len Wein, Curt Swan and Tex Blaisdell, to be precise:

Before that, she pretty much did it like any other hero, as shown in the 1958 classic Wonder Woman #103, by Robert Kanigher, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito:
